Planning a private event in Houston and thinking about Cajun and Creole catering? Here is how we approach it at Bayou Fork Kitchen, and what to have ready before you reach out.

Tell us about the event first

Every quote starts with the basics: guest count, date, venue, and service style — drop-off, buffet with setup, family style, or full plated service. We cater private events, corporate gatherings, birthdays, weddings and holiday parties across Houston, Manvel, Pearland, Missouri City and Sugar Land.

Build the menu around your crowd

Once we know your guest count, we build a menu around dishes that travel and serve well in quantity — think trays of Sweet Heat Wings, Crawfish Étouffée or gumbo, family meal platters, and sides like dirty rice and mac and cheese. Tell us about dietary restrictions or allergies up front so we can plan around them; pork is used in our kitchen.

Morning events can be built the same way. See the TSU vs. Southern game-day brunch we catered, with Creole shrimp and grits, waffles, eggs and bacon.

Pricing and lead time

Catering packages and tray pricing are still being finalized, so every quote is built around your specific event for now. As a rule of thumb, give us as much lead time as you can — larger orders generally need at least a day's notice, and more for full-service events.
